The Insight:
African American women are key decision makers in their household and typically make the financial decisions. State Farm wanted to speak to AA women about their financial services and product offerings in a way that was authentic to the community.
The Plan:
No one wants to be "educated" by a brand, but celebrating your accomplishments and encouraging you to do more, can result in a powerful connection. We developed the Color Full Lives initiative to celebrate the vibrant lives of African American women and start the conversation about their financial goals for the future.
Working with major AA festivals like Essence Fest, Mega Fest, and Steve Harvey's Neighborhood Awards. We helped attendees paint their world in our Tilt Brush VR interactive, discover their "true hue" in Color Full Personality Quiz, find inspiration in our Color Me Confident AR Mirror and learn money-saving tips from MC Lyte and her celebrity panel.
We amplified our program through a Color Full Lives influencer podcast series featuring Francesca of HeyFranHey.com, Tatiana King-Jones and Angela Yee from the Breakfast Club.
